When working on my press release for Public Relations Writing & Design, I was able to gain and further develop my writing skills. I learned how to properly format a press release in APA, and how to include a proper headline, dateline, while including the 5 W's in my lead paragraph.
When working on my event recap for Media Writing, I was able to gain and further develop my knowledge of APA formatting. I increased my understanding of headlines and datelines when it comes to news writing as well.
When assisting in contributions to the HOTWORX crisis plan for Crisis Communication, I was able to sharpen my knowledge of PR writing that I previously learned. While doing so, I gained more knowledge about the important components of a crisis plan as a whole.
